Kansas City Chiefs Acknowledge Alleged Abuse Allegations Connected to Player the Athlete
The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night stating they are aware of claims of abuse circulated in social media posts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver the athlete and had been in communication with the NFL.
The team omitted the name of Rice by name in their announcement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice by name, shared a set of images on Instagram that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. Jones stated the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.
